This suggests something is wrong with Windows Defender (again). This application took longer than usual to start up, resulting in a performance degradation in the system startup process:įriendly Name : Antimalware Service Executable Any subsequent logons/logoffs work perfectly normally.Įdit 2: Upon doing a bit of log debugging, I noticed something in my boot logs: Can someone please help me out?Įdit: I've noticed that this only happens when I first boot my computer. I have no idea about how to debug this, what's causing it, and (most importantly), how to fix it. I've attempted to attach a debugger (through procmon) to my boot process, but I have yet been unable to find anything out of the ordinary, with the exception of about a three minute gap between two registry lookups:Īll of this happens before atbroker and UserInit start (I think).ĭuring this gap, many processes (Specifically NVIDIA and ELAN) launch, but none seem to contribute to a hang. Additionally, the Windows Shell can take upwards of five minutes to load (items to display on my taskbar, shortcut icons to load, etc).

Game is running off of a second hard drive to OS, running windows 10 with latest drivers.Currently, my Windows 10 install (Pro edition, build 10586.29) is experiencing a problem with extremely slow logins (up to three minutes on the "black screen of death" - cursor is visible, but absolutely nothing actually happens) after entering my login password. I've tried a fresh install with no success. If one player is driving, and the other is in the passenger, the player driving might not get the freezes, but the passenger will, resulting in a snowballing effect where you'll freeze, the world will wait to catch up and load, 45 seconds later you'll warp forward to the next area and freeze there for another 45 seconds until eventually after this lovely powerpoint presentation you arrive at your destination. When traversing large distances the game freezes, but you're still able to look around, until the area loads. Often times when enemies spawn, their guns aren't loaded either and they're unable to shoot. Else wait a good 5-10 minutes and you'll stop pretending to have a gun and get a real one. Guns don't load when spawning and are unable to be shot, this can be sometimes fixed by loading the loadout menu, and hovering over the guns. cutscenes take upwards of 10 minutes to load, icons and menus take around 2 minutes each to load, enemies don't spawn for a good 10 minutes of entering an area, and when they do, they spawn right on top of you.

It happens in singleplayer as well.Įverything is incredibly slow to load. A friend and I are both having the same issue when playing Ghost Recon Breakpoint cooperative.
